CNF700-2 Firewall Kit

When you need a simple firewall to sit between your network and the internet, the CNF700-2 stands up to the call. Pre-installed with MOnOwall, a secure, open source firewall software, the CNF700-2 features 2, 100Mbit/s network interfaces and a single serial port.
On the front of the unit, there are 3 LED's to indicate power, NIC1 and NIC2 activity.
At the heart of the CNF700-2 is a PC Engines ALIX 2CO system board which gives users a higher performance replacement for the WRAP system boards.
This is a tested system comprising of:
- ALIX 2C0 System Board, with 2 10/100 NICs
- 400 MHz AMD Geode LX CPU
- 128 MB DDR SDRAM
- 1 spare internal miniPCI slot
- 1 serial port (console access)
- Rugged Aluminium enclosure
- Compact Flash Card with M0n0wall 1.3b9 preinstalled
The ALIX board in this unit also has a mini-PCI slot allowing for the addition of a mini-PCI Wireless Card such as the Wistron CM9. This will allow the unit to act as a WiFi access point in addition to the firewall.
This product is currently supplied unbranded in a red or black enclosure and has a choice of a UK or Euro power adaptor.

It allows you to split your internal network into 2 seperate zones each with their own fierwall rules.
